JUNK FOOD GENERATION
(Left: potatoes; right: eggs)
More than a third of British children surveyed by a health charity did not know chips (French fries) were made from potatoes.
Nearly one in 10 of them thought they were made only of oil, while others believed the main ingredient was eggs, flour or apples.
Another 37 per cent did not know cheese is mostly made from milk, reports Sky News.
The figures are from a sample of eight to 14-year-olds questioned for the British Heart Foundation.
